Holstein fans gathered on Thursday, filled with excitement and desire. The attention was on one IVF session with OCD Sheepster 23614, which cost a whopping $205,000. This top seller was purchased by Semex from Guelph, Ontario, and committed by Oakfield Corners Dairy in Oakfield, New York. Notably, this heifer is the top GTPI cow in the Holstein breed. Winstar Sheepster 1004-ET, acquired by Peak Genetics of Madison, WI, and consigned by Winstar Genetics LLC from Shelley, Idaho, followed closely after, earning $90,000. The World Classic included 55 lots, each for a hefty $30,245.
The World Ayrshire Event Sale kicked off the week, with Four-Hills Burdette Victory-ET taking the top spot for $10,500. Close following came Old-N-Lazy Wicked Perty-ET, which sold for $7,500. This section had a total of 26 goods sold.
Jerseys then visited The Tanbark on Tuesday, showcasing 28 lots. Ms-Vip Viva La Bos was the top seller, fetching $3,500, followed by JX Pine-Tree 13947 Cha 1219-ET for $2,900. The average for cattle alone was $1,858.33 per lot, augmented by sales of IVF sessions, semen, and embryos.
Not to be outdone, the World Premier Brown Swiss Sale brought a lively atmosphere to the Sale Pavilion on Wednesday. The auction included 44 pieces, with Port-Haven Sega Sabres Harmoni selling for $10,500. Kruses Foremost Jitty-ETV took second place with $9,600, adding to the week’s highlights.
