As part of the US National Holstein Convention, the 2021 sales took place June 24th at the West Lampeter Fairgrounds in Lancaster, PA. Consisting of both live lots and genomic lots that sold in absentia. Overall, the sale averaged $13,650 on 101 lots with a $1,378,650 total gross. The Sales was managed by the PA Holstein Association, Randy Wolfe and Michael Yoder as chairmans.
Topping the sale was lot 7G – $80,000 – IVF Session from Winstar Heroic 6428-ET at +3007 GTPI +924NM$ +980CM$. From the Roorda Ob Mirella 15270-Ets EX-90 cow family, 6428 is a Heroic from an Achiever then a Jedi, Ihg Nominee Mer 9040-ET VG-85. She is the#6 NM$ available heifer over 8 months of age. The IVF session was purchased by Select Sires. They are guaranteed IVF sessions until a minimum of 8 #1 or #2 IVF embryos are produced.
The 2nd highest seller was lot 3G – $77,500 – Shannon Try Me 1046-ET, a 12/20 Try Me at +2991 GTPI & +905CM$. She is a Try Me from a Medley from a Frazzled from the Miss Clark Clair-ET EX-91 cow family. She was purchased by ABS Global.
Rounding out the top sellers was lot 2G – $55,000 – Sheland Parfect Daybreak-ET, a 3/21 Parfect at +3008 GTPI. Daybreak is backed by 14 generations of Very Good and Excellent dams and was purchased by Semex.
