Rome Daughter Tops the Sun ‘Homestyle Edition’ Sale at $230,000

Kicking off Summer the Sun ‘Homestyle Edition’ Sale was held online June 12th from Delhi, New York. Selling was 40 of the highest available females of the Holstein breed along with some IVF sessions.

Making a big splash at $230,000 was lot 1 SDG R2846 Rome 962-ET. A daughter of De-Su Frazzld Rome 14192-ET born February 28, 2020 with a GTPI +3019. Rome 962 is the #1 GTPI & #2 NM$ Rome daughter and ranks in the Top 50 NM$ and Top 60 GTPI heifer in the breed. Rome 962 was backed by multiple generations of VG and EX cows from the Wesswood-HC Rudy Missy-ET EX-92 family. She was consigned by James Vierhout, Hull, Iowa.

The next highest seller at $180,000 was lot 2 Ronjanco 466RM 468F-ET. A daughter of De-Su Frazzld Rome 14192-ET born February 27, 2020 with a GTPI +3004. Ronjanco 466RM 468F-ET is the #1 NM$ & #2 GTPI Rome daughter and ranks in the  Top 20 NM$ and Top 100 GTPI heifer in the breed. She is backed by multiple generations of VG and EX cows from the Windsor-Manor Rud Zip EX-95 family, consigned by Dr. Pat Comyn and Byrad Rohrer, Madison, Virgina.

Rounding out the top sellers at $80,000 was lot 3 La-Ca-De-Le Menace 8026. A daughter of Mr D-Worth Menace-ET born January 5, 2020 with a GTPI +3005. Menace 8026 is the #1NM$ and GTPI Menace daughter and ranks in the Top 100 GTPI heifers in the breed. She is backed by multiple generations of VG and EX cows from the Seagull-Bay Oman Mirror-ET VG-86 family, consigned by La Casa De Leche, LLC c/o Keith Kimball, Groveland, New York.
