Lot No. 15 in the National Red and White sale is Nabholz Showdown Lea-Red-ET. She was destined for this sale from birth and she represents everything we look for in a sale consignment.
- Number 1, she has as good a pedigree as we can find for production, type and genomic numbers. (Lea was a contract mating for Semex)
- Number 2, she is as as fine a individual as we have had on the farm. She is near perfect in foot and leg, correctness of bone with an added dimension of style. She is one pretty calf, every day before or after a haircut.
- Number 3, Lea’s dam is the finest cow we have ever had on the farm.
For us her purchase price was high but with two flushes before she was a year old “Lani” paid for herself. This cow family makes eggs and makes high genomic bulls (Morningview Levi) and extremely genomic calves that make high scoring females with great udders after calving. We are proud to consign this beautiful calf and wish her new owner the same good fortune we had with the purchase of her beautiful mother. Her two highest test days have been her last two tests. She has never been above 57,000 SCC, another family trait. Lani could very well be a 6’th generation thousand pound fat 2 year old also a family trait. For assistance with trucking, Lea, can come back to Iowa until World Dairy Expo. Time and stay here free of charge until Expo.
