Conant Acres classified a total of 57 head on Saturday, February 7, and the exciting results include five new Excellent cows and three VG-89 two-year-olds.
Headlining the group was Conant-Acres Alex Leah-ET, a silky Alexander daughter that classified VG-89 with an Excellent mammary at just 26 months of age. Her Goldwyn dam, R-E-W Gold Leslie, now in her third lactation, was raised to EX-94. Leslie is starting to assert herself as a tremendous brood cow as her first three milking daughters have all classified VG in their first lactation and two of them maxed out at VG-89.
ZBW-JD McCutchen Wine-ET, a stylish +2316 GTPI McCutchen that was fresh in early December, also received the maximum score of VG-89 with an Excellent mammary.
The third two-year-old classified VG-89 was Dirigo Bradnick Corona, a Bradnick daughter of an EX-90 Zenith from the Emory Charity (EX-92) family.
The five new Excellent cows were all three year olds, and the group included three cows that received the maximum score of EX-92.
These were:
- Conant-Acres Braxton Chloe (EX-92): a Braxton from VG-88 Goldwyn x 2E-93 Allen Cecelia
- Dirigo-Conant Sanchez Raina (EX-92): a Sanchez granddaughter of 2E-95 Integrity Robin.
- Dirigo Braxton Pepper (EX-92): a Braxton from an EX-90 Lightning from the “Precious” family.
Four cows were raised to Excellent 94, including three cows in their third lactation. The herd now includes 19 cows that are classified 94 points, with a total of 74 Excellent and 33 Very Good cows.
