Fire heavily damaged a barn Friday. The barn belongs to brothers Eric and Lynn Walker, who own Sky-Glo Farms.
The fire caused the deaths of two calves and a cow died in the fire, said Augusta-Bridge Creek Fire Department Chief Ken Zich.
The department responded to the fully engulfed barn about four miles south of Augusta at about 11:28 a.m. Friday. About 150 cattle were in the barn, but firefighters and neighbors saved all but three.
Damage is estimated at more than $750,000, Zich said.
The barn, milking parlor and feed room were damaged by the fire, Osseo Fire Chief Nels Gunderson said. About 60 percent of the barn was saved.
The cause is believed to be electrical.
About 45 to 50 firefighters responded to the fire. Osseo, Fall Creek, Fairchild and Strum and Eleva Fire Departments provided mutual aid.
Firefighters were on the scene until about 5:30 p.m. Friday.
