CITYVIEW GOLD APRICOT EX-91-CAN
Dam of top selling animal CITYVIEW SHOTTLE AXCESS VG-86-2YR-CAN

The Master Breeder winning Cityview Farms herd of David and Kate Innes and their sons Alex, Max and Steve, Woodstock, Ont., was dispersed before a packed crowd on March 7th at Walker Dairy Sale Arena, Aylmer, Ont. Walker Dairy Inc of Aylmer and Brubacher Sales of Guelph Ontario co-managed the dispersal of this infamous herd located in the heart of dairy country in Oxford County.  With just under 200 head selling, the sale brought an average of $2875.

Two cows sparked the top price of $8000. Drawing that price tag first was Cityview Shottle Axcess (VG-86), a 3-year-old “Shottle” who completes four generations of Very Good or Excellent, and was claimed by Dan Hovden, Decorah, Iowa. Selling dry and due in May to “Atwood”, this young cow made first lactation credits of 13,026 kg milk, 4.4% fat, 3.1% protein (307-367-301). She is a daughter of Cityview Gold Apricot (Ex-91), a “Goldwyn” who was Reserve All-Ontario senior 2-year-old in 2010. The second dam is an Excellent-91-3E, 3-Star “Lee”.

Also commanding a top bid of $8000 was the deep-pedigreed Cityview Aftershock Rita (VG-85), a 4-year-old “Aftershock” who sold to Rick Carberry, Caledon, Ont. An eighth generation Very Good or Excellent, Rita made 14,705 kg milk, 3.9% fat, 3.1% protein (316-334-305) in her first lactation and was carrying a short service to “Fever”. She is backed by a Very Good-88 “Goldwyn” and Excellent-93-2E, 4-Star “Leduc” grandam with high production.
