According to the USDA’s Cold Storage report, cheese stockpiles are approximately 1.5 billion pounds, down slightly from the previous month but up 1% year on year. Total cheese and other varieties of cheese, such as mozzarella and parmesan, set new monthly highs. Butter stocks were down 12% from the previous month but up 4% from a year earlier, totaling little more than 289 million pounds.
