A large crowd showed up on a beautiful day in Jerseyville Ontario for what has been a 30-year passion for Len Vis and family who operate two-time master Mapel Wood Holsteins. Well known for their partnership in Vogue Cattle company as well as generating #1 GPLI cows bulls and heifers as well as All Canadian and All American show winners. With his children looking to careers in other industries, Len and Tracey had to make the tough decision and move on from what has been a passion for them.
Topping the sale was Smithden McCutchen Lainey at $9,800. The 2018 All-Ontario Milking yearling is classified VG-89-2YR and is fresh since June. 2nd highest seller of the day at $6,600 was another exciting young cow Mapel Wood High Octane Andrea. An 8th generation VG or EX Andrea scored VG-86-1yr and is bred to Brewmaster. Rounding out the top sellers was at $6,100 was Vogue Mirand Moon P, a polled June 2019 Coombeoona Zipit Mirand-P daughter from a Chief x Kingboy x Belfast Doorman Lovestruck then Belfast Goldwyn Lasenza.
The sale averaged $2550 on all lots and was managed by Brubacher Sales and Waler Sales.
