North America-based livestock genetics innovator TAG by ST has hired J.F. Thouny as Ontario Sales Manager to expand the company’s growing relationships with dairy producers across the province. Thouny brings to his new position a wealth of experience within the Industry and proven success in delivering client results and producer satisfaction.

Born on a large Holstein dairy farm in Europe, Thouny was raised in the family business and contributed to its success through activities that included importing hundreds of embryos from North America and merchandising purebred animals to several European countries. After receiving a animal science degree at Lycée Agricole Cibeins in France, Thouny moved to Canada and spent four years as a herdsman in Quebec. He then joined Select Sires, where he started as an A.I. technician and worked his way up to become Regional Sales Representative in Southwestern Quebec. He later became a Market Development Specialist for Eastgen in Eastern Ontario. More recently, Thouny was an expert dairy advisor for La Coop Fédérée, working primarily in Ontario, servicing customers’ needs and helping them achieve maximum success.“I’m passionate about agriculture, its people and its future,” Thouny said. “I’m looking forward to contributing to the success and progress of dairy breeders and milk producers in Ontario and across Canada.”
